Eighty six four hundred seconds

Gotta tell them that we love them while we've got the chance to say,

My love of my life;

; Monday, December 13, 2010

I've been in love. Painful. Pointless. And overrated. But what do you know about it?

Streaks of lightning slashed viciously across the sky, splitting the boundless space into big chunks above our heads. The thunder clapped mercilessly, continuously attacking our eardrums and making us deaf for moments that we can ever predict. Below all of that chaos, a little red umbrella trembles timidly in the howling winds, swaying from side to side perilously from the fragile hands of it's little owner.

Her blonde hair whipped across her face as the steady gusts of wind forced her lids to close over the astonishing blue orbs that were her eyes. Her thin clothes were stuck to her pale skin and black streaks of her smudged mascara lined her snow white face. Another loud howl from the wind snatched her little shelter of protection from her hands, and she answered that with a cry.

A little step forward made her heel broke and she landed on the asphalt, a small, sad crumpled heap of misfortune.

Why?

She turned her head towards the now pitch black sky, asking the gods above a question that they could never answer in any normal way.

Why is this happening?

The rain hid her tears as they merged with the salty droplets that escaped underneath her closed lids.

Why is this happening to me?

A drunken driver. His hand swayed out through the open window, clutching onto a half downed bottle of good wine. Whistling to the tune on the window and feeling the cool droplets on his skin accompanied with the strong caresses of the wind, he drove through the storm in his drunken haze, unaware of his headlights illuminating the small dark figure in front of him.

She knew.

She knew what was coming.

As the blinding headlights neared her.

As the loud horn of the truck shook her.

As the loud screech of tires deafened her.

As the two fragile little lives, collided,

and collapsed.

Long story down there :)

Gonna have the whole house to myself soon. Yay :D My sister's at a chalet, my mum's bringing the other two little ones to THAT chalet, my grandma's at THE chalet, my dad's at work and... wait. My grandpa's still here. -.- oh damn. Ah well. I plan to finish my physics homework, pack my table, pack my area, and I think that's about all. Hm... maybe dig around at my sister's library books for a good read. Haha. There's only so much time in a day, huh? Time's so short. So much so that I know, that there must be something more. ♥ credits for this phrase to some random picture that I found on weheartit.com :)
